Ticket stubs are now in vogue, a collection such as the one presented here is a keeper. The assortment of great games is stellar with two World Series tickets and a full ticket from the infamous “pine tar” game. The ticket from the 1936 World Series is the only stub in the lot; the Game 3 was torn along the proper portion of the tickets and exhibits no excessive wear. This VG-EX ticket has no creases and the game featured a homerun from Lou Gehrig. The other two pieces are full tickets and have been graded by GAI. A Game 6 1977 WS ticket, in which Jackson hit his three big homeruns, received a grade of 9.5 Gem-Mint. The “pine tar” ticket is from July 24, 1983 and, of course, was the game where HOFer George Brett lost his mind when Billy Martin had Brett's bat disqualified for having too much pine tar applied to it. This is a marvelous collection of tickets for all baseball collectors.
