Without television, many early World Series games could only be heard, in real time, via the radio. This beautiful program is a treasure that supports that statement; it is the Yankee Stadium version that was used to score Game 3 played at Sportsman Park in St. Louis. This incredible 10 x 12 program has picture perfect eye appeal. The piece is bright, clean and features the two Hall of Fame managers on the cover. There are (20) pages between the EX-MT cover and each page is as sharp as the cover in clarity and cleanliness. The advertisements include products pitched by Babe Ruth and Jimmy Farrell (golf champion). There are several stress marks near the staples on the cover but the overall aesthetic is one of grandeur. The program has been lightly scored, meticulously following each batter as the game progressed. The Yankees won the game 7-3 and the Series, 4 games to none. The long list of Hall of Famers displayed within the pages includes Ruth, Gehrig, Hoyt, Pennock, Dickey, Combs, Durocher, Lazzeri, Haines, Hafey, Maranville, Alexander, Hornsby, Frisch, and Bottomley, with Branch Rickey, Kennesaw Landis, and Ed Barrow. That is a total of (21) Hall of Famers featured in this spectacular 1928 World Series Program.
