So much happened in 1941, it's almost indescribable. Joe DiMaggio produced his immortal 56-game hitting streak; Ted Williams hit an incredible .406; and the Play Ball Gum Company produced the first baseball card of Pee Wee Reese. Here we offer that Reese rookie card and the matching Play Ball card of Ted Williams. The Reese rests in an SGC 60 EX 5 holder with no creases, vibrant color and minor corner wear. The Williams has been slabbed by SGC as well and earned a 40 VG 3, primarily due to a few very light surface wrinkles that go across the front yet are not exhibited on the back. Two historically significant cards in one lot!
