Anything that Ted Williams put his name on had to be the best quality and this vintage 1960s 5-speed bicycle is no different. Sears used Williams to endorse a laundry list of sports related items and, as Babe Ruth before him, Williams was glad to “cash in” on his celebrity. This light blue 5-speed bicycle is in excellent condition. All fenders, reflectors, rear book rack and brake wiring is original with nary a scratch on the exterior. The seat was produced by Mesinger and is also original. All the original decals still appear intact on the bike and the handlebar brakes still operate with ease. The tires are in wonderful shape although air is needed. This bike can be used for that daily exercise that we all need or it would make a great showpiece. Due to the size/weight of this lot, the cost of shipping may be substantial.
