Presented is a small yet significant collection of autographed cards and exhibits. Amidst this grand collection are (21) signed exhibits, (13) cards and a 4" x 5" illustration of Frank Frisch presumably from a 1950s Brown & Bigelow calendar. This (35) card lot includes several Hall of Famers and deceased players, year listed in parentheses behind the departed players’ name. The signatures are very clean and crisp, in either blue or black pen, unless otherwise noted. Exhibits include Hank Aaron (blue sharpie), Ewell Blackwell (d. 1996), Harry Brecheen (d. 2004), Bill Bruton (d. 1995), Lou Burdette, Spud Chandler (d. 1990), Walker Cooper (blue sharpie, d. 1991), Bobby Doerr, Walter Dropo, Tommy Holmes (1939-46 Exhibit), Ralph Kiner, “Whitey” Kurowski (d. 1999), Bob Lemon (d. 2000), Willard Marshall (d. 2000), Eddie Mathews (blue sharpie, d. 2001), Johnny Pesky, Enos Slaughter (d. 2002), (2) Mickey Vernon, Harry Walker (d. 1999), Bucky Walters (d. 1991). Cards include Yogi Berra (1964 Topps #21 – blank back), Roy Face (1966 Topps #461), Bob Friend (1958 Topps #492), Bob Friend (1964 Topps #20), Charlie Gehringer (d. 1993,1960 Fleer #58), Lefty Gomez (d. 1989, 1960 Fleer #54), Ralph Houk (1961 Topps #133), Ralph Houk (1972 Topps #533), Carl Hubbell (d. 1988, 1960 Fleer #4), Jim “Mudcat” Grant (1960 Topps #14), Tommy John (1969 Topps #465 WL – blank back), Eddie Mathews (d. 2001, 1964 Topps #35 – black back), Brooks Robinson (1966 Topps #390 – black back). The 4”x 5” illustration of Frankie Frisch by Civilette is inscribed “To Joe – be good: “The Old Flash” Frank Frisch.” All cards are in EX to EX-MT condition with sharp signatures grading “8-9”; the blank back cards are signed on the reverse. The lot comes with a COA from James Spence Authentication.
