Commonly overshadowed by the heralded 1927 New York Yankees, the Connie Mack quietly put together one of the greatest line-ups of all-time in the form of the 1927 Philadelphia Athletics. Mack supported young sluggers by bringing in wily veterans like Ty Cobb and Zach Wheat to help teach the game. Over the years, these young sluggers like Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, and Mickey Cochrane would all excel, it is just one more thing that Mack did well. This wonderfully clean Wilson Official League ball does not have a signature on the sweet spot but stockpiles (23) different signatures around the magnificent sphere. The red-and-blue seem beauty has seven Hall of Famers among the sigs and include Connie Mack ("5"), Ty Cobb ("5-6"), Lefty Grove ("5-6"), Al Simmons ("7-8"), Eddie Collins ("2-3"), Mickey Cochrane ("5-6"), and Zach Wheat ("2"). Overall presentation is keen with many options and an overall grade of the signatures rating ("5-6") and the ball ("7"). COA from James Spence Authentication. For a complete listing of all the signatures, please visit our website.

A complete list of the signature on the 1927 Philadelphia A’s autographed team baseball are as follows (with grade of each signature in the parentheses): Ty Cobb (5-6), Lefty Grove (5-6), Jack Quinn (6), Bill Lamar (5-6), Sammy Hale (4-5), Joe Boley (4), Ira Thomas (7), Al Simmons (7-8), Joe Pate (4), Ed Rommel (3-4), Eddie Collins (2-3), Dud Branom (7), Connie Mack (5), Jimmy Dykes (1), Zach Wheat (2), Fritz French (1), Lefty Yerkes (1, pitched one inning of one game), Charles “Lefty” Willis (8), Howard Ehmke (9), Chick Galloway (7), Mickey Cochrane (5-6) and one other signature.
