The Brooklyn Dodgers versus the New York Yankees was the principal match-up for baseball during the decade of the 1950s. Each team had a strong national following and offered special attributes that endeared them to the fans. New York and Mickey Mantle, Brooklyn and Jackie Robinson brought spectators to their feet every game. These three fantastic programs embody the character of these players and their teams. The collection here features the 1953 program (VG-EX, with one detached page and wear on the spine), the 1955 program, which was Brooklyn’s only World Series victory, (EX-MT condition, minor spine wear) and the 1956 Game 3 program featuring Casey Stengel and Walter Alston (EX-MT, trace spine wear and partially scored). Each program was issued by Harry Stevens and contains many great photographs of these dominating New York based teams.
