Presented are seldom seen, early baseball ephemera including a unique and brilliant greeting card and two images of a young ballplayer in his baseball uniform. The ornate greeting card offers two drawn images of old-time baseball with packed wooden grandstands with embossed gold trim detailing the edges, topped off with images of period equipment in the lower left. The 3 x4 card is very clean with no writing inside and offers no manufacturer mark. The pair of photographs are of the same lad - a 1 x 31/2 bust image and the other a real photo postcard featuring a complete composite of the youth in his East End uniform. While the postcard image is fantastic, an oval circle has formed on the surface of the postcard when placed in a frame many years ago. Century old ephemera has many unique characteristics that draws collectors and each item in this wonderful lot dates around 1910 - so grab these tiny treasures while you still can.
