This rare 1967 Topps test issue was primarily issued as three-card cello packs in Maryland. The concept for this game was simple, each of the players were to “punch-up” the square to reveal how the respective player did, then move down the line-up. The perforated cards only contained a small image of the team captain with the line-up listed below; these cards did not fair well with kids and the idea was abandoned. Forty years later, collectors are delighted; this Topps test issue is very desirable especially when unpunched as it is with this Luis Aparicio. The card is in EX-MT condition with the mildest surface crease across the lower portion of Aparicio’s image. The upper edge of the card is perforated cleanly along the predetermined manufacturers’ line. Overall presentation is one of quality, a solid EX-MT.
