Zach Wheat was one one of the first lifetime Brooklyn Dodgers elected to the Hall of Fame in 1959. Lost in an era that included Cobb, Ruth, Wagner and Hornsby, Wheat posted impressive career numbers and was a fine defensive outfielder for the lowly Brooklyn club. Presented is a vivid single signed Zach Wheat ONL Harridge baseball. The Hall of Fame Brooklyn Dodgers outfielder apparently took his time and scribed not only an outstanding signature but included a full inscription, “Sincerely, Zach Wheat – Dodgers 1909 thru ’26 – Phila A’s 1927” on the complete side panel. The ONL baseball exhibits signs of game usage as well as some unexplained abrasions on an adjacent side panel. This single signed beauty was penned in detail with a black felt marker and is the consummate display piece. The overall presentation has strict visual appeal and the bold, strong signature rates a solid “9.” COA from James Spence Authentication.
