During the 1970s Kellogg’s produced 3D baseball card sets and issued a single card in the cereal boxes for children. Each year, except 1971, a complete set could be obtained via the mail and these popular sets were snatched up by collectors and children alike. In 1971, Kellogg’s offered no mail-in option making singles and sets quite scarce. This fine set was painstakingly put together one card at a time with the grades for the stars as follows: #2 Tom Seaver (NM), #5 Roberto Clemente (VG-EX), #10 Willie Mays (VG-EX), #65 Pete Rose (NM), and #68 Willie Stargell (EX-MT). The overall presentation of the set is excellent with most cards grading in the EX to EX-MT levels.
