For as long as anyone can remember, the Rose Bowl has been one of the top showcases of collagen talent in America. The Tournament of Roses Parade dates back to 1890 as a way for West Coast magnates to embrace the outdoors in January as New York was “under snow.” The parade and rose-covered floats entertained for a few years a post-season football game was introduced in 1902. The first Rose Bowl, known as “The Granddaddy of Them All”, featured Michigan dismantling Stanford 49-0 in only three quarters. The lopsided game forced the suspension of football from the Tournament of Roses festivities until 1916 when the games resumed. Now synonymous with college football, the Tournament of Roses Parade is held annually in Pasadena, CA and attracts million of viewers. This collection of (29) programs includes a complete run from 1954 through 1983 (missing just the 1980 program). The issues from 1953-1960 have a little writing on the front covers and all the programs exhibit some minor flaws, most from being read; the median grade is VG-EX with some better and some lesser.
