This pair of baseball giants have been linked in many ways over the years; they were the best players of their generation; they both served heroically in WWII; their respective feats during the 1941 season and they are the best cards in the 1939 Play Ball set. By 1939, DiMaggio was already the best player in the American League while a very young Ted Williams was the “up and comer” in Boston. These cards display the idols in beautiful black & white portraits, the #26 Joe DiMaggio is in GD condition with a crease in the upper right corner, a small pencil mark on the reverse and timeworn corners. The #92 Ted Williams’ rookie is very clean and well centered with a crease apparent under strict scrutiny through the lower portion of the card. Catch the sensation and pick up these Hall of Fame cards for a song.
