The 1959 Bazooka issue was the company’s first attempt at cards, issuing them on the reverse of 1-cent Topps bubble gum. These cards are very difficult full-color, unnumbered issues and due to the nature of these cards, it is extremely hard to find high-grade cards. Here are three examples of low-to-mid grade cards with the Mantle exhibiting paper loss and staining throughout, the centering and color remains solid. The Bill Mazeroski (VG-EX) displays vibrant color, nice centering and has minor corner/surface wear. The Roy McMillan features clear and crisp color, nice centering, minimal corner wear and has a 3/8” by 1 7/8” paper loss on the reverse.
